Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 13, 2026

Let's Learn Today ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use our website and platform at lets-learn-today.com and related services (the "Services"). It should be read with our Terms & Conditions.

1. Roles

For account and website data, we act as a data controller. Teachers and schools that enter student or parent information generally decide why that data is needed for teaching; they act as responsible parties toward their learners, and we process that data on their instructions to run the platform.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

  • Account data: name, email, password (stored hashed), role (teacher, school, student, parent), timezone, preferences, and profile details you choose to add (photo, bio, contact methods, payment display settings).
  • Teaching and learning data: schedules, classes, attendance, lesson assignments, courseware metadata, uploaded lesson files, supporting documents and homework attachments, class reports and notes, progress fields, and communications you send through platform features.
  • Payment and billing data: subscription status, invoices, transaction references, and limited payment metadata from processors (we do not store full card numbers on our servers).
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, cookies, session identifiers, and activity logs used for security and operations.
  • Support and contact data: messages you send via contact forms, email, or WhatsApp.

Only name, email, and password are required to register; other fields are optional unless a feature you use needs them.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Services (scheduling, courseware, uploads, reports, invoices, and portals).
  • Authenticate users and protect accounts.
  • Process subscriptions and platform billing.
  • Send service-related notices (for example security, billing, or feature updates).
  • Analyze usage to fix bugs and improve performance.
  • Comply with law and enforce our terms.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for login sessions, preferences, and security. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, interactions, and technical diagnostics). You can limit cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work without essential cookies.

5. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

  • Service providers that help us host, deliver, secure, or analyze the Services (for example infrastructure, email, analytics, and payment processors such as PayStack and PayPal for subscriptions).
  • Teachers, schools, students, and parents according to your role and the permissions configured in the platform (for example a teacher viewing their students' class history).
  • Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business transfers if we merge, sell assets, or reorganize (with notice where required).

If you connect optional integrations (for example external billing or payment tools), those providers receive data you authorize under their own policies.

6. File uploads and storage

Teachers may upload lesson materials and resource files subject to storage limits shown in the product. Files are stored on our systems (or designated hosting) to display, preview, and download as you direct. You are responsible for not uploading unlawful content and for having rights to the materials you share with students.

7. International transfers

We operate globally. Your information may be processed in South Africa and other countries where we or our providers maintain facilities. We take steps designed to protect data consistent with this policy and applicable law.

8. Retention

We keep personal information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. We may delete or anonymize accounts that have been inactive for an extended period (typically more than 12 months) or when you request deletion, subject to backups and legal retention requirements.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls and encryption in transit where appropriate. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong password and protect your credentials.

10. Children and students

Student accounts are usually created by teachers or schools. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we hold a child's information without proper authority, contact us. Teachers and schools should obtain any consents required in their jurisdiction before adding minors.

11. Your rights

Depending on your location (including under POPIA in South Africa or similar laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise these rights. We may need to verify your identity.

12. Changes

We may update this policy by posting a revised version with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be highlighted on the site or by email where appropriate.
